The chemicals used to sweeten them have been implicated in other problems. Some of the chemicals, while not toxic in their natural state, can undergo changes when they become warm. These converted chemicals can be toxic. If the beverage is not kept cold, it can change. Try drinking iced tea, sweetened with something like Stevia instead. It's better for you.
