no but your family history does you don’t have to eat a bunch of wheat just live healthy don’t overindulge take care of your self keep your weight in check and you have a good chance of NOT getting it

No. If you are at risk (diabetes in the family) there is nothing you can do. A good healthy diet and daily exercise is a good thing to practice. There is nothing that says you will get diabetes just because it is in your family. But having a good diet and getting exercise may delay the arrival of symptoms if you are going to get it.
